With experience, you can advance to become a lead negotiator, a tenured professor, or an independent arbitrator with your own client list. While starting pay is modest, experienced specialists and educators can achieve six-figure incomes, with postsecondary teaching showing steady growth. AI tools may assist with drafting documents or researching precedents, but they can’t replicate the core of your job. Building trust and navigating human emotion to find common ground will always require a human touch.
